Church in Whittier Flooded from a Burst Pipe!
No home or business is safe from accidents. We are all subject to the risks and dangers of water damage. The lovely people at Faith Lutheran Church in Whittier found this out the hard way. After the city turned their street’s water back on, a supply line in the men’s bathroom burst, flooding the church. Luckily, even though the water affected the walls and most of the flooring, our SERVPRO of Whittier team managed to dry these areas entirely without any reconstruction necessary. This saved the church not only from the harmful effects to the structure and to their health, but also the time and money that could have potentially kept their members away for a while. Not having to pay or wait for a contractor to rebuild what we couldn’t save made it easier for them to proceed with their services and invite people back in. In order to handle the damage without reconstruction, we sent a well equipped team out to the church and they began services right away. The crew set up equipment to dry the affected areas and they protected the non-affected areas in an effort to control the damage. This kind of efficiency is always a goal of ours here at SERVPPRO of Whittier. Thanks to our ability to respond quickly and be prepared, we were able to realize this goal and ensure that the church would be functional in a timely manner, making it like it never even happened!
